Goodys Family Clothing Linens and Things All three are going out of business today and they were fine a few months ago. Newnan may become a ghost town soon. It is so sad to see them all closing at once and I wonder which stores will be next.  Time to get busy! |

Oops I forgot there are two other stores in the circuit city shopping center that have closed their doors in one month and a place to eat called Paulies I think is closing their doors as well.

Circuit City is closing over a hundred stores nationwide in order to shore up their failings in this failing economy.
PS: HAving the loss of Circuit City isnt anything to worry bout, most decent knowledgeable PC types dont like em anyhow. You can get better stuff elsewhere and much better customer service elsewhere also.   As for Me and My House, We Will Serve the Lord. I think a lot of major stores are restructuring in order to shore up the loss of revenue and bring their income back up to better levels thats acceptable for a business to survive.

Linens N Things has been on its way out for some time. They have been closing stores here and there and about a month ago they failed to find a buyer so now they are all closing. Circuit City is closing I think 175 stores around the country.

I know. We're pretty upset about ours going out of business. A couple months ago we went to check out the one in Racine, it was long since gone. The one by us in River Forest, IL is still open, but has had their stuff on clearance for a while now. I should go and see whats left, maybe they'll have something not too bad for real cheap. That was one of our favorite stores though. Bed Bath and Beyond is similar but we always liked Linens N Things Better.
